Marquette County Mom Prom
Historic Masonic Ballroom in Downtown Marquette
What Is Mom Prom?
The mission of Marquette County Mom Prom is to prove that when women in a community come together to help one another, big things can happen.
Each year, a different family, individual or non-profit organization is selected to receive the proceeds of our event. That recipient will then be able to show thanks and give back by assisting in the selection of the following years' recipient. Mom Prom is expected to "pay it forward" for many years to come.
The event features dancing, cocktails, delicious food, a silent auction and a chance to win amazing prizes provided by local businesses. Guests are encouraged to wear old prom gowns, bridesmaid dresses, wedding gowns and/or anything that makes a girl feel fabulous.
It all started with a little girl named Ainsley.
5 years ago, we launched the Marquette County Mom Prom to help Ainsley and her Family.
5 years later, we have raised over $80,000 "Paying it Forward" to others.
Sadly, this amazing little girl is no longer with us. She is now in heaven as one of our angels. We miss her terribly.
Mom Prom 2019 will be the 5th year we have the pleasure of helping a cause that is near and dear to our hearts.
Ainsley’s HALO is a non-profit that has been established in Ainsley's name. Many of you are aware of this amazing little girl and her battle with cancer. She fought bravely and made a difference in the world. This non-profit has been established to continue her legacy and to continue making a difference.
H.A.L.O- HELP AND LOVE OTHERS.
Ainsley’s HALO will work to provide a local hockey scholarship and a local dance scholarship. It will work to provide donations of hats, band-aids, toys and poke prizes for the Children's Hospital of Michigan. It will also work to provide continual support for pediatric cancer research.
The theme? Heaven on Earth.
Tickets go on sale February 1st at 7pm. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for ticket and sponsor information. We look forward to celebrating with you for the 5th year in a row! Cheers!
